Santa baby, forgot to mention one little thing...a ring

Kyle popped the question! :) December 23rd is the happiest day of my whole lifey so far. The whole night was so perfect. The day was a little crazy and we didn't get to see each other until he picked me up for dinner. He brought me a white rose. It was beautiful.
He took me to the Old Spaghetti Factory. Have you been there? It's so good. I loved the restaurant too. A cute train goes through the middle with tables inside. It's super cute. We got the spaghetti and chicken fettuccine. Kyle said the chicken fettuccine was the best he ever had. He was probably annoyed that I actually ate my half of it. I couldn't help it...it was so good. And they just kept bringing us food! Bread, salad, pasta, ice cream. I strongly recommend it.
One of our favorite things is walking downtown. We love the atmosphere of all the hustle and bustle. I would love to live there when we get married. Any suggestions on affordable apartments down there for couples? We went on a fun, short walk downtown. Just to the car, really. It was freezing!

Kyle wouldn't tell me where we were going next. It was a big surprise. But the surprise was slightly ruined when there was a huge line of cars and a big arrow on a sign that said "Garden-a-glow." There were so many people heading there, and after parking, we got in a super long line. Kyle kept muttering "oh crap...this sucks...oh no...etc." I was slightly confused. It is so out of character for him to be impatient at all. Little did I know he was just worried about finding a private place to pop the question. :)

We finally made it inside. I understand why the line was so long. It is so pretty. I really love christmas lights. Especially now. We were just walking in the winter wonderland! I also would like to point out that it really was December 23rd, and there was not an inch of snow in sight. After spending three winters in Logan, I have very much appreciated the snowlessness of Boise this year.
We spent some time admiring all these lights from the top of the hill. Kyle started fumbling a little, so I thought it was gonna happen, but tons of people were around and kept coming, so we started down the little hill. He randomly stopped at the next little path switchback and stood there for a minute. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone...imagine my disappointment...until it started playing our favorite song, "Crazy Girl" and he dropped on one knee.

I didn't actually take this during the real one. But I made him put the ring back and get down again. It's my favorite picture in the world I think.

I love this picture because it shows just how happy we were, unfortunately the gorilla smile is less than attractive.

We walked around a little while longer, until our frozen toes couldn't take it anymore. Then we hopped in the car and drove home. It was perfect :) I always wanted it to be mostly private, without lots of attention, well thought out, nothing too showy. I love watching/reading about them, love hearing the big, crazy ones. I think they are super fun, I just would hate the attention I think. So this way was wonderful. It helps that Kyle is perfect, and I want to marry him more than anything in the whole wide world!
